Johnny Winter in Commercials

Tijuana Smalls

Johnny appeared on a commercial either in the late 70's or early 80's for the small cigars Tijuana Smalls. The commercial had some cheezy jingle type music and had other celebrities on other versions as well. Johnny appeared at the very end as the camera shows him playing guitar outside on a lawn under a tree ( and I think holding one of their cigars and maybe even smoking it) and smiling.

Guitare Magazine, Novembre 1980 (French Guitar Magazine)

Main title : Exclusif Johnny Winter un petit noir chez les blancs (translated as Exclusive : Johnny Winter, a little white guy meeting blacks).

The cover pictures a cartoonesk color drawing : a little school Johnny boy being watching closely to a very big mama playing her Dobro.

It has a cool front cover showing that the French (France) are really into Johnny's music. The mag has nice black and white pictures. One is showing Johnny live at its early 70,s tour playing his Epiphone. The article is 6 full pages.
